  • counselling notes and session records

  • payment and appointment information

Only information relevant to providing counselling services is collected.

  • manage appointments and payments

  • meet ethical, legal, and professional obligations

Your information is not used for marketing purposes and is not shared unnecessarily.

our information is stored securely in locked or password-protected systems, or other appropriately protected systems.

You may request access to your counselling records at any time.

Requests will be handled within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

In some limited circumstances, access may be restricted as permitted by law.

 

Retention of records

Counselling records are retained in accordance with applicable legal and professional requirements.

In general, records are kept for seven (7) years from the date of your last contact with EF Counselling, after which they are securely destroyed.

 

Privacy concerns or complaints

If you have concerns about how your information is handled, you may raise them directly with EF Counselling.

If the matter cannot be resolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or your relevant state privacy authority.
